Show Details
It was built before 1889 by the carpenter who was also responsible for the Longfellow School completed in 1888. He was allowed to embellish it as he saw fit. He added rusticated corners, double brackets and fret work under the eves, paneling under the bay windows and numerous other details. He received $1 per day for his labors so Mrs. Ellis could afford to indulge his fancies.
