Image Info This view features the Pillsbury Block on Main Street at the corner of School Street. With its lovely arched windows and distinctive Mansard roof, it was built by Samuel Pillsbury in 1859. It contained A.J. Shaw & Co. Dry Goods and Mayo & Kaler Dry Goods on the first floor, and the Knox County Government Offices on the second floor. The corner of the wooden Farnsworth Building appears on the left, with Gould & Perry Boots, Shoes & Clothing on the first floor and the entrance to the Rockland Water Company Office on the second floor. The two-story, wooden building on the other side of School Street on the right is the Spofford Block.
