Young campers and older mentors weave baskets in the Camp Office at Lanier Camp in Eliot in 1913 or 1914. The camp used various activities to "make life genuine and beautiful."

The camp moved to Eliot in 1908. It was operated by Sidney Lanier Jr., son of poet Sidney Lanier, and his wife, Elizabeth Maude Masson Lanier. Sterling and David Lanier are their sons. Josephine was the daughter of Henry Lanier.
