After the Coburn Hall fire in Skowhegan, December 16, 1904.

"(Shown through the courtesy of J. N. & I. J. Smith)

The view is easterly along Water Street. The building at the left are still standing. The one next to the ruins was occupied by the late E. B. Curtis as a millinery store, and the business is continued by his son, Carl Curtis. Next to the Curtis store was the Vosmus Block, occupied at one time by Gray & Foss, tinsmiths, and at the time of the fire by Heald Brothers. Coburn Hall was just to the right and the wall still standing is that of the Ordway (later Griffin) Building.
