Image Info Ship Yard Point on Moosehead Lake acted as the winter storing grounds for various Coburn Company steamboats.

The steamboats cruised the lake carrying freight, passengers, and supplies to locations on the lake during the summer, but were hauled ashore when ice formed on the lake, often times as early as November, until ice the ice melted in April or May. The Moosehead II, the Marguerite, the Louisa and the Priscilla are among the steamers shown.
