This Abbot-Downing Concord Stagecoach, manufactured by the Concord Stagecoach Company in Concord, New Hampshire, was purchased by Tuttle & Perkins of Bryant Pond, Maine, on February 21, 1882. The stagecoach ran from Bryant Pond to Andover, Rumford Center, Rumford, Mexico, and Dixfield throughout the last part of the 19th century and into the early 1900s. It was pulled by a six-horse team.

At Bryant Pond the stagecoach connected to the Grand Trunk Railroad, which terminated in Boston. The Stagecoach operated from Bryant Pond on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The return trip from the Rumford area met the Grand Trunk Train to Boston on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The fare from Bryant Pond to Rumford Center was $.75; to East Rumford, $1.00; to Mexico, $1.25; and to Dixfield, $1.50.
