Image Info One of two parties held for the children of Biddeford Pool by summer residents Mrs. T.K. Neidringhaus of St. Louis and Mrs. Foster (home state unknown); this one at the home of "Mrs. Foster". The parties were in apology for setting the house dogs upon neighborhood children as they attempted to leave May Day baskets for the women at Mrs. Neidringhaus' front door. These photographs were originally mis-labeled as a "war relief party" meant to raise funds for the Red Cross or American Expeditionary Forces. The golf links are visible in the background, and the balloons have a picture of the American flag and the words "America first."
