Image Info St. Peter’s by the Sea, an Episcopal Church in Cape Neddick, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. The church was commissioned, along with the Ogunquit Memorial Library, by Nannie Dunlap Donarroe in 1897 and was intentionally situated on a hill so that fisherman would be able to see the cross from sea. A water tower that was built in the 1960s was quickly removed because it obscured the cross from view.
