Image Info This is the Bar Mitzvah portrait of Irving Murray Pinansky (1916-1939), who is sitting at front center. Sitting in the front with him are, at left, his grandmother Louisa (Rebbecca) Bernstein, and his mother, Anna Bernstein Pinansky.

At rear are his grandfather Berry R. Bernstein, his father Max Pinansky, his grandfather Louis Pinansky, and the rabbi in charge of the service.
Max Pinansky (1887-1951) was one of the first Jewish judges in Maine.
