Image Info The caption reads, "Negro Light, Curtis Island, Maine." Since 1936, the lighthouse has occupied the southern end of Curtis Island, a seven-acre island just offshore from Camden, Maine. The light on Its 25-foot tall, white, cylindrical brick tower has a range of 6 nautical miles. Curtis Island has a public park but is only accessible by boat.
