This album-style quilt was given to Jane Blanchard when she married Warren Porter at Cumberland on October 18, 1830. This hand pieced quilted bed covering includes fifty five separate designs made by the bride’s family and friends. Each block is stamped with its maker’s name.
The quilt is hand-stitched, pieced and appliqued. Many of the squares are signed.
