Image Info The Kennebec River behind the car yards at the Maine Central Railroad station in Waterville looking towards Winslow is covered in massive ice blocks from upstream during the March, 1936 flood. The breakup of ice on rivers caused much damage throughout New England, including taking down the vehicular bridge between Waterville and Winslow.
