Image Info The flood of March, 1936 was quite a scene. This is how it appeared behind the car shops at the Maine Central Railroad station on College Avenue in Waterville. Much of the damage sustained around New England was due to large chunks of ice, like those in the picture. On the far side of the river is Winslow.
