The Miller and Mayo Architectural firm of Portland, Maine and the John Cunningham Co. helped to create the new Portland High School. "Principal William B. Jack stressed that the new Portland High School would truly be the citizen's school, '...an American school and like America its doors are open to anyone who knocks.'"- From Peter E.
