Image Info On January 2, 1927, during the course of the Sunday afternoon service in Moody Chapel at Good Will-Hinckely, George W. Hinckley announced that "a check for $20,000 has just been received with the proceeds of which we are to build another home for girls." This gift came from Frances B. Mosher of Bangor, the second wife of George Averill, and the building was to be known as the Leah S. Averill Cottage, in memory of George Averill's mother. Built by James Tuttle, superintendent of maintenance, Averill Cottage was dedicated on September 18, 1927.
