Image Info Gen. Robert Baden-Powell (1857-1941), founder of the Boy Scouts, as he was pictured in an elaborate invitation to a reception and dinner for him at the Hotel Astor in New York City, February 9, 1912. A copy of this invitation was found in George Walter Hinckley's papers and it is believed that he attended. Among the speakers for the evening were Gifford Pinchot, Ernest Thompson Seton (Black Wolf), Dan Beard, and Luther Gulick.

Hinckley was closely associated with these great figures of that day. It may have been at this time that he made arrangements for Black Wolf to attend the Good Will assembly that following summer.
