This photo was taken on the Penobscot near the Kenduskeag Stream during the flood of 1902. Two rail cars are partially submerged along with a steel railroad bridge and an unidentified building. In the background are the steeples of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Unitarian Church. Businesses visible along the stream are, to the right, Bacon and Robinson coal dealer and to the left, along the river is J. F. Angley Coal and Wood.
