Eugene "Gene" Daniel Mahoney, who played for the team in 1922 and 1923, also played baseball, football, and ran track during his time at Portland High. Gene graduated in 1924, and is pictured standing in the back row second in from the right. Frank Cummings played in 1921, as well as played and was manager of the team in 1922. He is in the back row, three in from the right, standing next to Eugene. Donald Flavin, first row directly in the middle, played basketball in 1921, 1922, and 1923, and was also captain of the team in 1922 when the photo was taken.
