Image Info "This stood on the northwesterly side of Island Avenue, about 100 feet westerly of North Channel Bridge. "Successive toll gatherers lived here, among them John B. Hussey, father of Miss Lizzie Hussey; a man by the name of York, and others.

The Steward grist mill shows just over the roof of the toll house, to the right. Both these buildings have disappeared in the erection of the Maine Spinning Mill and the changes made between their factory and the north channel.
