Image Info The Cammock House was named in honor of Captain Thomas Cammock, the nephew of the Earl of Warwick, and a member of the Council of Plymouth in Massachusetts Bay. It was built by Silas Libby who inherited land from his father, Captain Thomas Libby, 3rd. It was the second hotel on Prouts Neck. The hotel started out modestly but grew over the years to a full scale hotel.

The hotel closed six or seven years before its century mark as it couldn't meet the newer and more stringent regulations of the modern day.
