Image Info St. Matthew's Episcopal Church was built in 1860 just prior to the Civil War. It was designed by Richard Upjohn and is a graceful example of a mid-nineteenth century board and batten Gothic country church. The organ at St. Matthew's is the smallest tracker-type ever designed for a public building by E. W. Lane of the Waltham Massachusetts Organ Company. Note the railroad tracks in the foreground. The church is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
