Image Info An evening of entertainment in Lubec promised this poster, with music plus two thespian performances. The one act "Box and Cox or The Long Lost Brothers" by John Morton was first produced in London in 1847. It later became the first successful Gilbert & Sullivan comic opera but as "Cox and Box." No information has surfaced about the all-female "Champion of Her Sex" Women's Rights play. It is not known if the Lubec Brass band and the Quadrille Band were one in the same.
