Image Info In July 1903 the four mile track from Old Orchard Beach to Dunstan was opened and run by the Portland Railroad Company. The track connected Old Orchard Beach with Portland and the large railroad stations. The iron trestle brought the electric cars over a broad expanse of the marsh, Foxwell's Brook, and the Eastern Railroad on the Old Blue Point Road. During the summer this line would run as often as every fifteen minutes. This ride provided a quieter and cooler ride than the trains.
