Image Info The stone yard, located on the west side of Franklin Street, was surrounded by three stone cutting sheds, a power plant and the Hallowell Granite Works office. The overhead walk at the top of the photo connected the office to the sheds.

The back of the photograph identifies Tom Stafford as the team driver and Frank Kitterage as the man in the suit.
The only remaining stone shed was demolished in 1991 and the site is now occupied by Savings Bank of Maine.
