Image Info Believed to be band rehearsel for Veterans’ Day. Note cool weather outer wear. Extreme right building housed the Lubec Herald newspaper office. Two structures left, the gray building with light window trim, long home of the Herb Maye blacksmith shop, housed Morshee‘s Superette mini-grocery. The proprietors were Phillip Morrison and Charles Sheehan. These three buildings no longer exist. The next building to the left was Stuart’s Hardware, the faintly visible gasoline pump with its Mobil glass globe on top. This building and the adjacent building still stand, occupied, as of 2009.
