Betsey Ramsdell, member of a prominent Lubec family, is credited with discovering lead ore.
This is probably the Lubec Lead and Zinc Company 1898-1903, which was a "money scheme." At least 11 mines were begun, but none proved profitable.
The Bottom edge of the photo reads, "completely obliterated now" Backside, "Old Mine Mill now completely obliterated by Forces of Nature."
