Image Info

In 1834 a road was laid out from the Town Landing on Mill River across Benjamin Bussey’s land. This was first referred to as Bussey Street and later Bradford Street around the time Paul Bradford built a house halfway between the two locations around 1855.

It was later renamed Gleason Street in honor of John Gleason, a prominent citizen and President of Thomaston Bank, who died in the 1830s.
