Image Info This Tercentenary celebration celebrated the landing of Capt. Richard Vines at Biddeford Pool in September 1616, the year that Shakespeare died in England. Capt. Vines spent the winter in Biddeford before returning to England in the spring of 1617. Shown here is the local Boy Scout of Ameria troop joining in on the festivities.
