Image Info The Columbia Hotel, located at 645A Congress St., Portland, was run by J. J. Pooler & Son in 1905.

The one-story building at left was the site where the Lafayette Hotel was built in 1903. The six-story portion of the Columbia Hotel, seen in the center of the photo, was built in 1899, and the one-bay section to its right was built about 1901.
The carriage in front of the hotel advertises the Tontine Steam Laundry.
