Image Info Advertisement from the April 1933 issue of Etude Magazine for the McMillan Vacation School of Fine Arts in Belgrade Lakes, Maine. The school was established by Mary Lane McMillan, a fine artist and magazine illustrator, and George McMillan, a professional musician and teacher. The School provided fourteen-week summer sessions in music and art for its students. The sessions were from June 12th to September 16th. Winter sessions were held at the McMillan School of Fine Arts in New Rochelle, NY.

At the Vacation School, music lessons were given for piano, violin, voice, harmony, preparation in repertoire and elementary theory. Art lessons were given in landscape painting, outdoor sketching and photography.
