Image Info The Buxton Center Baptist congregation in 1798 sought permission to split from the Congregational Church.

The group built its first church in 1802 at Elden's Corner. It was rebuilt in 1831.
The steeple and bell were added in 1841 and the church was remodeled in 1872.
