Image Info The Stinson monoplane, Royal Windsor, at Old Orchard Beach. Pilots Canadian C.E. "Duke" Schiller and American Phil Wood gave up on plans for a transatlantic flight from Windsor, Ontario, to Windsor, England, because of the loss of two other planes that were attempting the crossing.

The Stinson Sir John Carling and the Fokker VIIA Old Glory were lost over the Atlantic.
The Schiller-Wood flight was canceled while they were at Harbour Grace, Newfoundland.
