The Stinson monoplane, with pilots William Brock and Ed F. Schlee, flew to Harbor Grace, Newfoundland, then went on to England, and proceeded to Japan, attempting a round-the-world flight.
They aborted the trip in Japan due to weather and pressure from officials because of recent airplane losses.
