Henry Austin designed the Italianate mansion for Ruggles Morse. It was built between 1858 and 1860 and was later owned by J. R. Libby.
The Victoria Society acquired it in 1943. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970. It is known as the Victoria Mansion.
