Tukey's Bridge in Portland, which crosses Back Cove.

The original bridge was built in 1796 and was a toll bridge. The bridge is named for long-time toll gatherer Lemuel Tukey, who ran a tavern on the Portland end of the structure and who objected to ending the tolls, so collected them anyway until he was forced to stop in 1837.
