Image Info Brewer architect Charles Tefft created the bronze statue of Hannibal Hamlin that is in Bangor's Kenduskeag Mall. It was dedicated in 1927.

Hamlin was vice president in Lincoln's first term, and served in the U.S. House and Senate as well as the Maine House of Representatives. He was Maine governor for one year before moving to the U.S. Senate.
Hamlin, a native of Paris Hill, practiced law in Hampden.
