This 1889 nautical chart of the Isles of Shoals, created by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, served as a maritime navigation tool, depicting the island group off the coasts of Maine and New Hampshire in detail. It showed depth soundings in fathoms and hazards like rocks and shoals. A compass rose aided orientation, and the chart marked lighthouses and beacons where applicable.

The chart highlighted major islands in the group, including Smuttynose, Hog, Star, Cedar, White, and Lunging islands. The U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey printed it on March 30, 1889.
