Image Info Helen Kiss, 18, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, sits atop her motorcycle. The bike was a high school graduation present given to her by her parents. According to the June 20, 1937 issue of the Portland Press Herald, she made the 450-mile trip alone to partake in the 21st annual Gypsy Tour. She traveled the second-longest distance of all participants.
