Image Info For several years the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad and the Houlton Pioneer Times sponsored model train races in cooperation with the Houlton Recreation Department.

Divided into several classes, contestants raced their model engines for three laps of a 85 foot, double loop track, each pulling 2 Bangor and Aroostook Railroad blue, white and red model box cars.
