Image Info The S.D. Warren factory dammed up part of the Presumpscot River in order to provide power to the factory and to the town of Westbrook. Hydraulic power became a popular method to use for most of Maine's manufacturing industries. Companies would often create their own power generating companies to provide power to their factories and the local towns around them.
