Image Info The Emery Hill House in Fairfield was the first frame house in that community, built by Jonathan Emery between 1771-1773.

It was the headquarters of General Benedict Arnold in his October 1775 Quebec Expedition. The first European child born in Fairfield was born in this house in 1773.
The house stood until 1982.
