The dress embodies a distinctly 1920s style, with a straight silhouette, low waist and wide decorative waistband. The velvet band around the waist gaps at the left side, where its met by ruching. A brooch with four gems adds detail to the waistband. The long-sleeved bronze colored silk chiffon dress includes a V-neck, trimmed in a darker brown velvet. The same velvet is seen at the cuffs, and waistband. A finely pleated ruffle makes up the bottom of the skirt. The dress was donated to Maine Historical Society along with a coordinating cloche hat made of brown felt.
