Image Info A water bucket from Hancock Barracks (1828-1845) in Houlton. Hancock Barracks was built to establish a United States military presence in Northern Maine during the boundary dispute which resulted in the "Bloodless Aroostook War" and the settlement of the border between the U.S. and British North America by the Webster-Ashburton Treaty of 1842.
