Image Info Postcards were all the rage in the early 20th century, and personalized cards were available to send to that special soldier or sailor during the Great War. In Biddeford and Saco, residents were actively encouraged by the local newspaper to put together gifts, treats and pass-times for the soldiers at home and abroad.
