Image Info Fire destroying Ste. Agathe Catholic Church. At 5:30 p.m. on August 13, 1940, a gasoline stove exploded in the house of Joseph and Adel Bouchard next door to the church. The flames quickly engulfed the church and fire departments from as far away as Presque Isle were called to the blaze.
