Roger B. Shepard was president of the St. Paul dry goods firm of Finch, Van Slyke, McConville and Company, and later was director of the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis.
The Shepards were among the select Midwestern families who made Biddeford Pool their summer destination of choice during early 20th century.
