This letter, dated May 26, 1787, was written in Hartford, Connecticut to the Governor of the State of Massachusetts, James Bowden. Huntington, the Governor of Connecticut, is assuring Governor Bowden that the Connecticut militia will stop all citizens of its state from participating in riots that were occurring in Massachusetts.
