Image Info A black paper label attached to the top of the wooden gunpowder keg with gold or light colored letters which states "Oriental Powder Boston Mills No. 3 wild fowl and rifle powder." The mill was located on the Presumpscot River between the Gorham and Windham, and produced twenty-five percent of the gunpowder for the Union forces during the Civil War. The mill was also called the Gambo Mill. The wooden gunpowder keg is made of pine and willow.
