Image Info The Fairmount Hotel, built around 1887 was one of the grand hotels of York Beach. It began as a boarding house, grew in size, and was later torn down to make room for the Surf Breaker Motel. At its height, the Fairmount could accommodate 125 people. The left side was a later addition.
