This is a Lamson photograph of the Wadsworth-Longfellow House on Congress Street in Portland.

Anne Longfellow Pierce, who lived in the house most of her life, donated it to the Maine Historical Society in 1901 as a memorial to her brother, the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
